A number of annual events and educational days are held across the Estates each year
The Ledston Estate takes part in Heritage Open Day organised annually by the Civic Trust. This gives an opportunity for members of the public to visit the gardens and find out more about Ledston Hall and its History from the Estate representative who attends. The grounds, gardens and chapel of Ledston Hall are open free of charge to the public on the Saturday of the event between 10am and 2pm. Full details of the event are published on the Heritage Open Day website.
Ledston Hall grounds and gardens are open to the public from May to August, Monday to Friday between 9am to 4pm. We do request that you treat the area with respect and bear in mind that the Hall is also a private residence. No dogs are allowed and children must be closely supervised
Another successful Countryside Learning event
The annual countryside Live North event was held at Ledston Estate last May and the Otterden Education day held in June. Both were a great success with reasonable weather and good attendance of children and teachers. Highlights included falconry displays, woodland talks, livestock and getting to sit on Mr Baker’s Tractor.
01-Oct-2013 – Countryside Learning Events 2013
In 2013 the Ledston Live Event will be held over 2 days on 22nd & 23rd May. These have proven a great success with children and teachers benefiting from a wide range of activities all of which are related to the countryside. The Otterden Estate day will be taking place on the 19th June which also offers a range of rural activities for Schools. For more information on how your school can attend please go to Countryside Learning.
